Dominion National Data Breach
Dominion National a dental and vision insurance provider suffered a major data breach which first began in August of 2010. A hacker was able to avoid detection and stay inside their systems until April 24, 2019 when their presence was discovered.
The compromised servers store enrollment and demographic information of Dominion National and Avalon vision programs, as well as of patients whose dental and vision plans are administered by the companies. The compromised information includes names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, taxpayer identification numbers, bank account and routing numbers.
